For a movement with many different, sometimes conflicting, desires and demands, it makes sense to focus on the one unifying thing all the protesters agree on: “We are the 99 percent.” In order to gain as much traction as possible, the group should also shorten its name to an acronym, at least when written. “Occupy Wall Street” simply takes up too many characters per tweet.
